Yes, Frank Raja Araze is becoming very disrespectful to not only Sierra Leone Filmmakers but to the general people of Sierra Leone. We have been closely following his activities since he stepped foot in the Sierra Leone Movie Industry. He was warmly welcomed by every Sierra Leonean filmmaker the moment he landed on this soil. We can say he has done some good things by opening the eyes of some Sierra Leonean Filmmakers to certain things and he is well appreciated for that.

But Frank is stepping on a lot of toes and doing some unpleasant things behind the door even though these things are best kept under the carpet until there is tangible evidence before they can be publicized.

However, his attitudes towards fellow filmmakers and the way he perceives Sierra Leone are too bad. Why are we saying this? A recent development caught up the eye of this medium when several filmmakers were discussing in a very popular filmmakers’ forum, that, Frank Raja Araze said that Sierra Leone has no culture; Frank went further by saying that when he was researching for the unpopular AYV TV Show, Hidden Treasure, that all he saw was cultures from other cultures.

Excerpt of WhatsApp discussion

Clearly, this shows that Frank has no clue about Sierra Leone, and he really failed to do his home thereby leading to the poor reception of the Hidden Treasure Reality Show by Sierra Leoneans.

There is not a country in the world without culture and Frank must know that almost every tribe or language in one country within Africa has some similarities. This is because every tribe that exists in the modern era came from a parent tribe that existed thousands to millions of years ago.

To give you a tip, most of the tribes in West Africa came from a parent tribe that was known as the Mel Tribe which emanated from Congo centuries ago. Not only Frank but anybody that thinks that Sierra Leone has no culture has a load of research to do.

Frank has been well received before this time by Sierra Leoneans as a brother but he is beginning to step out of line by getting the very people that give him home very aggravated. And we think, he should learn what to say in public anywhere he finds himself before he gets himself into tension with not only filmmakers but the general population of Sierra Leone. He should not forget that he bears the responsibility to always be a role model.
