Career

Brima Abdulai Sheriff is a Sierra Leonean Film Maker, but outside film making, Mr. Sheriff is a decorated Leadership, Governance, and Advocacy Expert. He is the erstwhile chairperson of the Sierra Leone Human Rights Commission. A consultant, Trainer, Human Rights defender, Advocate and campaigner, Policy Advocate, Strategic Planner, and Change manager with vast long-standing organizational development and change management experiences.

He is a product of Njala University with conferred BSc in Agricultural Education and M.A. in Peace and Development Studies from same institution with several other international trainings. A highly respected figure in the Entertainment Industry and the Republic of Sierra Leone.

Director, Actor, Producer Brima Sheriff is a former Director of Amnesty International – Sierra Leone and currently the Advocacy and Learning Facilitator of GOAL-Sierra Leone. Nationally, he has served several institutional boards and now tasked in providing policy direction for HURIDAC, a regional organization with headquarters in Nigeria.

As an entertainer, he has produced several movies, trained, and mentored young film makers. He is the writer and director of “Sebatu’s Initiation-2004”, “City Girls – 2013” and “Madiba – To be released soon. Produced several movies and and already directed over six episodes on the current COVID-19 pandemic touching on several campaign issues. He has starred in several Movies including a TV Series been produced by AYV Films.

Commissioner Sheriff was the Good Pitch representative for “Survivors”, a documentary about Ebola in Sierra Leone.  He was the chairman of the 2018 National Entertainment Awards. He has supported several Reality TV shows including Nest Movie Stars, Housemates Salone Season 1 on leadership, Time Management and Teamwork capacity building.  He has just been appointed as Country Representative for Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR), a community development strategy that aims at enhancing the lives of persons with disabilities (PWDs) within their community.
