About Us

Our Story

ImageSALONE was founded on the 18^th of August 2020; a platform owned by Creative Pictures Ltd; a media company that was founded on the 3^rd of February 2012 as a film production group with the name Creative Art Production (Carts Production).

The founder Fayia Foray took these initiatives while he was studying at the Ernest Bai Koroma University Science and Technology (formerly known as Northern Polytechnique), Makeni Campus. These platforms are registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Sierra Leone on the 17^th of July 2018.

ImageSALONE was first launched as the first Sierra Leonean filmmakers’ only website with the tag; ‘Sierra Leone Filmmakers’ Diary’. On the 10^th of December 2020.

Today we host and continue to write the biographies of Sierra Leone’s professional filmmakers at home and abroad. We hope to expand our scope in the months to come.

Image SALONE is an online magazine that tells the stories of Sierra Leone professional filmmakers at home and abroad. Whether you are a freelance filmmaker, a filmmaking company, or an independent filmmaker — a story can be told about you and through you. We use modern cutting-edge technology to tell our stories and express the value and beauty of our local talents, content, and the daily endeavors of our lovely Sierra Leone filmmakers.

Our Goal:

Our goal is to rebrand the image of Sierra Leone and Sierra Leoneans in the creative industry by creating value for Sierra Leone’s local content and the work we do.

Showcasing the value and beauty of our local content, the creativity, and passion through our stories.

Our Values

Our values are making us as an institution, so we therefore would always do all we can to keep up with them to ensure the continuity for what we stand for. Our values shape our image. They are as follows:

Transparency: We are open and transparent in our judgment and dealing and will therefore never jeopardize that for any reason so far.

Objectivity: we must at all costs be objective in our judgment as it is the assurance that will always be with our audience and partners. We do not take sides in anything we do but tell the hard truth without fear or favour.

Authenticity: whatever information we make public is well researched and authentic as that is the bedrock of who we are.

Accountable and Corrupt Free: we pride ourselves as anti-corruption crusaders and distance ourselves from bribery, fraud, and any form of corrupt practices as our brand counts.

Hard work: we believe in hard work, and it tells the root of our humble beginning.

Non-political: we do not support any political ideology, affair, or party, we do not seek to undertake any project with a very strong political tie. We are therefore open to working with every political party that exists in Sierra Leone.

What We Do?

ImageSALONE writes and creates audio-visuals about Sierra Leone’s creative industry professionals and their activities, culture, and tourism. This includes writing biographies about the activities of filmmakers, those involved in the music business, fashion, fine art, and creative writing. We also write and create audio-visuals about the beautiful unknown and untapped touristic locations, artefacts, relics, and the various acceptable cultural festivities across Sierra Leone. We tell stories about anything that expresses the beauty of our country and promote those behind the expressed beauty. We bring our country’s beauty to the international world with our brand of stories.
